Nirvana-related statue to be unveiled in Aberdeen
In Kurt Cobain's home town of Aberdeen, WA, a stylized guitar sculpture inspired by Cobain and Nirvana is set to be unveiled on April 5 to mark the 17th anniversary of Cobain's death in 1994.
The statue will be presented at a public event that begins at 1 PM at the park next to the Young Street Bridge in North Aberdeen (US).
The sculpture, designed by Kim and Lora Malakoff, will be 8 1/2 feet tall, and will also incorporate lyrics from the Nirvana song "On A Plain."
