 A bit more information about the Converse Kurt Cobain collection of shoes: The shoes come out between May 1 and June 1 in the US. They will be available from the official Converse website as well as the Journeys stores across the US. The shoes retail from somewhere between $44.99 and $49.99. Already now you can order them from the Journeys website. In Europe, they are on a different product cycle to the US on the Kurt Cobain shoes. In most European markets, the shoes will be available around August-September. There's no word yet on which stores will offer the shoes around Europe. | |

| NFC News Author Revisits Death of Kurt Cobain in Time Travel Novel |
 A new novel entitled Timely Persuasion by Jacob LaCivita has some Kurt Cobain-related chapters. The book is "an anonymous music critic on a quest to save his sister from the relationship that ended her life. After a chance encounter at a bowling alley leaves him with the ability to travel in time, our hero uses his musical knowledge to 'blink' through the years attempting to keep the couple apart by any means necessary."Along the journey, the Cobain story is re-visited. "It's one of those defining moments that follows a whole population who came of age listening to Nirvana," says LaCivita. "For me it was such a logical starting off point for the narrator. He has this new power and wants to make an immediate impact. So many characters discover they can travel in time and head straight for 1963 to find Oswald and save Kennedy. | In a new survey of the greatest guitar riff of all time by Guitar-X students at London's Tech Music Schools, Nirvana came in second with the riff for Smells Like Teen Spirit only topped by the legendary Deep Purple song Smoke On The Water. Read full story here. |

| NFC News Nirvana special on German MTV |
| MTV in Germany will air the "MTV Masters" special about Nirvana this Saturday April 5 at 9 PM local time in honor of the 14th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's passing. MTV, MTV2 and VH-1 in the US are not airing any Nirvana shows this year on April 5 or 8.
