NFC News Cobain featured in Gibson's Top 50 Guitarists of All Time
Kurt Cobain is featured at number 49 in Gibson's Top 50 Guitarists of All Time, alongside the likes of David Gilmour, Richard Thompson and John Frusciante.

Even though he was a left-handed guitarist who, even after success came fast and hard, adamantly stuck with the junk shop models that would barely stay in tune when he played, Cobain had a totally unique ability to harness power. I'm the first to admit that I’m no virtuoso, he once said. I can’t play like Segovia. The flip side of that is that Segovia could probably never have played like me.

NFC News Courtney Love To Sell Nirvana Back Catalogue
A story which made the rounds last month:

Courtney Love recently revealed that she is considering selling all rights to her late-husband Kurt Cobain's back catalog. The Hole frontwoman, who is the exclusive owner of the rights, said that the possession and financial strings attached were more trouble than they were worth.

"I'm thinking about selling all of Kurt's rights - everything," Love recently told the Scotsman. "It's not a financial decision. It's an emotional one. He was the best friend I ever had, but Kurt and I were only married for three years, and now I need to have my own life."

"That money has been cursed since the day it started to come in," she added. "It's not really my money. I don't want Kurt Cobain to buy me shoes anymore. I want to buy my own shoes - lots of them."

NFC News Scarlett Johansson to play Courtney Love in biopic?
Apparently the popular actress Scarlett Johansson has expressed interest in portraying the role of Courtney Love in an upcoming film about Kurt Cobain:

"Moviemakers are currently thinking of an idea to bring Nirvana frontman's life story to the big screen with the help of his widow, Love, who will act as a project adviser, reports The Daily Star.

Love said in recent weeks that she would like either Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy to play her late husband, and named Johansson as her favourite to play her part.

Johansson hasn't been approached for the project yet - but is 'intrigued' about the chances of playing the Hole frontwoman.

'I know that there is a script. That's as much as I know about it. I'm a big fan of Courtney's, and I think she's very, very talented. But I don't know anything about the project. I think the idea is interesting and intriguing, but I would have to really wrap my head around it,' she told MTV News."
