| NFC News Nirvana - Nevermind Super Deluxe - out now! | |
 After only being sold through the Best Buy chain in the US for the first month, the Super Deluxe 4CD/1DVD edition of the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind is now available all over the US! The box is strictly limited to 10,000 copies in the US and the stock is already quite limited, so be sure to pick up your copy if you haven't already. Also, with Halloween weekend upon us, don't forget you can get Nirvana's Halloween 1991 performance from the Paramount Theatre in Seattle on DVD and Blu-ray now! The Blu-ray is currently only available from Best Buy in the US but you can get it immediately by using the links below. | NFC News Nevermind - The Singles 10" vinyl box set to be released November 25 | |
As part of the Record Store Day initiative, a string of limited edition releases have been announced for release on November 25 (Black Friday).One of the releases will be a Nirvana vinyl box set with all the 10" official singles from Nevermind collected together for the first time, housed in an individually numbered slipcase. It will be sold exclusively from independent record stores participating in Record Store Day. Availability will vary by store and country. | NFC News Nirvana for 'Christmas no. 1' - new campaign launched |
| Our British friends have launched a campaign to get Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on the no. 1 slot on the charts for Christmas week in the UK. From Spin: The hotly debated 'Christmas No. 1' slot almost always goes to the debut single from The X Factor's newest winner, with the reality show's unstintingly stodgy Matt Cardle grabbing the honor last year. In 2009, though, a grassroots Facebook campaign called "Rage Against the X Factor" improbably helped Rage Against the Machine's 1992 political rocker "Killing in the Name" beat Simon Cowell's latest septuagenarian-friendly selection to the holiday top spot. | NFC News Godspeed: The Kurt Cobain graphic novel - now as iPad app |
 Kurt Cobain: The Graphic Novel - a controversial book released a few years back is now available as an iPad app. Click here for a review of the app. Short snippet:To me, this feels like a real comic book, and, in my opinion, it is a truly brilliant use of the iPad’s screen. They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, and this graphic novel holds true to that. The art work is dark, detailed, and tell most of the story by its self. A simple double tap of the screen on any of the tiles will bring it full screen, and from there, users can swipe left or right to read it frame by frame. This feature makes the digital version stand out over the print version and really improves the experience as a reader. Download the app now!

 This past July I went to Seattle for a short visit and stopped by some of the must-see things for any Nirvana fan. Mostly, I wanted to see the big Nirvana exhibit at the Experience Music Project musem, and of course Kurt Cobain's last home at Lake Washington Blvd. Check out a bunch of my pictures from the trip below!
