Brazil's TV Globo have put up some rare Nirvana video clips on their website, to mark the 9th anniversary of Kurt
Cobain's passing. The clips are taken from the extremely rare video of Nirvana's performance in São Paulo on the
16th of January 1993. The first video features a 4:41min montage of the songs Drain You, Breed and
Sliver. The second video clip (also 4:41min) is taken from the closing of the show, where Kurt Cobain destroys a
couple of guitars and an amplifier.
The videos have been kept in the archives of Net Globo and is essentially the only video
footage that has been released from the show (apart from other small clips). A complete recording of the show has
yet to turn up in collector's circles. The website also features an article, documenting Nirvana's 1993 visit to
Brazil. Check it out here.

"Twelve years after Nirvana borrowed heavily from Killing Joke's 'Eighties' to create 'Come as You Are,'
the reunited U.K. band is borrowing the defunct Seattle band's drummer to make its first studio album in seven years. Dave
Grohl laid down drum tracks during the last week of March at Grandmaster Studios in Hollywood for Killing Joke's The Death
and Resurrection Show, due in mid-June on their Malicious Damage label, distributed by Sony. Of the 1992 Nirvana/Killing
Joke controversy, Killing Joke bassist Paul Raven says, 'Yeah, Dave and I had a few laughs about that over the past year or so.
He mentioned it to me when I met him backstage at Pantera a couple of years back.' 'Come as You Are' (1991) is fueled by a slowed-down
version of the guitar riff in 'Eighties' (1985)." Read the full story here,

The Vault has finally been updated. This section of NFC consists entirely of material submitted by the Nirvana fans visiting
this website. This includes a large collection of drawings and sketches, covers of Nirvana songs, poems and writings and much
more. More than 25 new files were added (marking the first update since September 2002) and at the same time, the layout of
The Vault was changed. The new layout features thumbnail pictures of all the images available, as well as a more easy-to-use
navigation and file listing. Visit the updated NFC Vault here.
In the last few years, a sense of appreciation for the band Nirvana, and Kurt, has overwhelmed every aspect
of my life. From 'You Know You're Right' to the Journals book, Kurt Cobain has influenced me in many ways.
The fact that I am here is a representation of how Kurt Cobain and Nirvana have had an influence on my life, positively.
The music Kurt wrote was perhaps the most beautiful gift he ever left us. The timeless quality of Nirvana's songs is
the reason why so many people still like Nirvana, and why they are recognised as 'One of the greatest rock bands ever'.
I think Krist said it best, 'Let's keep the music with us.'
Music; Kurt's way of communicating with the world, where he went to, sometimes to whine, sometimes complain, but
mostly to show us something wrong with the world. He helped us learn, grow, and even make music to help show other
people what was wrong in our world. This is the universal gift he gave us, the universal hope which makes some of us
cry, some of us smile, and all of us learn.
Thank You Kurt, for the hope, for the Music, and for the ability to learn.
20th of February 1967 - 5th of April 1994.
